アイアーン国際会議開幕

Just Started

2003年7月21日午後１時30分、2003iEARN世界大会は、淡路人形浄瑠璃の美しい舞で始まりました。そして、司会から開会が宣言され、代表の高木洋子が壇上に登ると同時に
会場から大きな拍手がわき上がり、鳴りやまないままスタンディングオベーションとなりました。  
2003 iEARN International Conference in Japan started with a beautiful Joruri performed by Awaji Ningyo-Za.  When Ms. Yoko Takagi, the chief representative of the conference, stepped onto the front, a huge applause was given from all the audience.

▼今年の会議は、SARSのために開催が危ぶまれました。世界中の人たちが、開催を危ぶみ、日本の動きに注目してきただけに、開催の喜びはひとしおでした。高木代表は、「多くの難問を抱えていたが、なんとか開催にこぎ着けた。ここ”淡路夢舞台”は、"Dream Stage"という意味。みなさんここで夢を語りましょう。」と話しました。  
The standing ovation reflected our gratitude toward those who have been dedicated to the accomplishment and overcome difficulties that we faced, specifically the fear of SARS.  “We finally reach here,” said Ms. Takagi, “this place ‘Awaji-Yume Butai’ means ‘Dream Stage.’  Let’s talk about our dream together!!”
 

▼恒例の各国紹介、参加者は拍手に手を挙げて応えます。初めて参加された方は、この光景を見て、非常に感動したと話されてました。 大会に参加できない台湾の生徒もテレビ会議で参加しました。　

　Now, we live in the new millennium but a lot of problems are still remained – war, discrimination, starvation, pollution and many more.

「ようこそ兵庫県へ」　兵庫県、井戸知事が、半袖、ノーネクタイ姿で颯爽と壇上に登場しました。
未来を担うのは子供達です。この会議が、子供達の未来をつくる上で大きな成果をあげるとともに、ここ兵庫県で開催できますことを喜んでおります。
２１世紀は、テロや戦争、自然災害などが発生し、波乱の幕開けでした。戦争や災害を乗り越えていくためには、相互理解が不可欠です。IT技術は、国と国、地域と地域、人と人を結ぶ、Face to Faceという環境をつくってくれます。そういう意味で、皆さんのIT技術による教育交流の活動は、人と人の絆を深め、世界平和につながります。
.A guest speech　
" Welcome to Hyogo Prefecture!" Hyogo Prefecture Mr. Ido showed up on thestage smartly with casual clothes.
He started his speech with the history of Awaji Island,this　Conference site. It is the oldest island in Japan and is a beautiful island with a lot of nature. Flowers welcome you all the year around with different taste　according to the seasons. " Akashi Channel Bridge ",  through which you pass　rom Maiko , Kobe, is the world longest suspension bridge. This is a dream bridge for especially hyogo citizens who overcame " Hanshin Awaji Great Earthquake.'
He appreciated the strong will that overcame the desaster and the bad reputation about SARS.

 今大会で全面的にご協力いただきました、関西学院大学学長　平松一夫氏より、ご祝辞をただきました。

ユースサミットの運営は、関西学院大学総合政策学部の学生を中心とした学生ボランティアのリーダー３０人が担います。彼らはｉＥＡＲＮ－ＵＳＡの米国学生らとともにｅ－ｍａｉｌを使っていろいろな論議をしながら１年間かけてプログラムを準備してきました。参加する若いみなさんにとって、きっと楽しく素晴らしい大会になると思います。
The operation of the Youth Summit will be supported by 30 leaders. They are mainly the student volunteers from our School of Policy Studies . They spent a year to prepare for the program through discussions via e-mail with American students of iEARN-USA. I believe that the Youth Summit will be a wonderful and an enjoyable one for all the young participants.

大会組織委員長赤堀先生のコーディネーターでテンポよく、パネルディスカッションは進行しました。相互理解のために、特に発展途上の国々への支援の声があがりました。シンポジウムの模様は、8月9日（土）２３：３０－００：０４０　NHK教育テレビ「土曜フォーラム」で放映されます。
International symposium
Mr. Akahori, the chairperson of this conference organization committee,carried the panel discussion smoothly.
Especially," more support is needed for developing countries for more musual understanding "is the biggest voice. This symposium will be broadcasted on Auguat 9 (Sat), 11:30~12:20 on " Saturday Forum"on NHK educatioal TV.

▼夢舞台はアイアーンファミリーでいっぱい。一年ぶりの再会を喜び合ったり、協働プロジェクトを相談したり、と楽しそうな光景が見られました。  
On the dream stage, sharing the same time and space with others and knowing differences that we bring, we would like to talk about our colorful and peaceful future.
