Minasan, Ohayo Gozaimaus!
The children and their parents here have all gone home for supper but I wanted to quickly write to you and thank you very much for making our@connection this evening possible. Everyone here enjoyed it so very much! You could probably tell by their eagerness to get closer and closer to the microphone! I do apologize for the screeching because of the microphone@and we will practice our "positions" much more for next time. The children here greatly enjoyed your presentation-the riddles and the questions and your singing. It seems our part went a bit quickly-my fault@ I believe, as last time I overplanned and we did not get to all of the planned material. Each time I learn more!
Having just completed this connection it may seem a bit early to inquire@about another one but I would like to suggest another link in January-if@ you would like to make such a connection. We will pay for this@connection,
if you would like to link with us. The students here (and their parents) really like this communication with you.
Have a wonderful day. I must go home and prepare supper for my family@now.
Thank you again-so much!
Very sincerely,
Pam

Pam Sensei & Minasan e
Thank you so much for your soon message. We, Shimizu children & parents, are thankful to all of you. We enjoyed the connection a lot. Your program is very nice. We like your riddles, questions and song. We were surprised at your nice Japanese so much! You have made great improvement in Japanese. You can talk with your Japanese at anywhere in Japan. We can easily understand and find the answer of your riddle, hearing your clear and good Japanese words. Sorry, we couldn't send our voice at the first riddle, although we shouted "Natsu!" or "Summer!" several times.
We also have to apologize you that we couldn't work our program well. Shimizu children had practiced each of them at their house, but most of their positions were completely changed at the very morning because of some situation. Some of the children who had caught a cold couldn't come and one third of them had to leave for school at about 8 o'clock for their one-day school trip. It was the day before the very connection that we realized that they had to arrived at school by 8:15. They were confused at the sudden changed position at first, but they were getting relaxed at your lovely smile. Anyway, we felt our bad arrangements had made our program dull and not understandable. After the connection, the parents had a meeting and we found many things that we had to think much more.@Your program was very nice. We all enjoyed yours, including your answers to our questions. When we listened to your song, all of us were so surprised at your perfect Japanese. Particularly, the children were too surprised to sing it together. All@they had to do is just listening to you Pam Sensei and you proved that every step led you the higher part of the mountain. We were given much nice gift by you, today. Shimizu children rushed to school with your gift after the connection. Thank you, Morris no Minasan. I'll tell you more what the children felt of the connection, after questionnaires on it comes back.
Here's an early(?) message from Shimizu mothers to one of Morris mother@who@has a new born baby in Nov.@ "Happy birthday to your new born baby!" "We wish you and your baby's@ health. Of course, wish your whole family's happiness."
Mrs. Mami Andoh particularly wishes so, because she also has a new baby
in Feb. 2000.
Thank you so much your wonderful suggestion of the next connection in@Jan.
We are very pleased that you give us a wonderful chance again.
Thank you again. Dohmo Arigatoh gozaimasu.
Very sincerely,
Yoko
