Mary is Noah's sister.
She commuted to school in slippers before Mr. Gordon gave her shoes.
She was so happy to get the shoes. Also she and her brother were delighted to get sacks of maize,
cooking oil, soap and new school uniforms. They went to school with full stomachs for the first time.
